Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Be majoring in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher
- Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university
- Completed basic programming and/or electronics classes
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment
- Must be a commutable distance to Winston-Salem, NC to work an onsite schedule

Responsibilities
- A Software Engineer is responsible for the software design and development of the interior aircraft electronic components through all the phases of the project including preliminary design, development, certification and product support
- Develop technical requirements for software components
- Perform software development and verification of different modules
- Develop tools and procedures to aid the development or testing processes
- Perform performance profiling activities
- Learn troubleshooting skills by analyzing software defects and identifying technical solutions
- Analyze CAN, RS485 communication logs and identify potential issues
- Preparation and presentation of technical data in design reviews
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-functional team environment
- Learn electronics product development cycle
- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite
- This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products
