Responsibilities
- Intern - Software Engineers are responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software for existing or new products/applications
- The code you create by may be used in commercial, end-user applications and internal tools that improve efficiencies supporting our diverse industry segments and clients
- Using current programming languages and technologies, you will write code, perform application testing and debugging, and document and create procedures for installation and maintenance
- As an Intern - Software Engineer, you may interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
- As you advance in your career, you will become a forward-thinking leader, capable of communicating complex ideas to solve problems faced by users and clients
- Anticipated graduation date is December 2025 or May 2026
- 40 hours/week work dedication during summer and breaks, 20-25/week during the semester
- What you will do:*
- Make improvements to Spring.Boot/Java APIS
- Develop tools that support Acxiom's Daas platform
- Help senior engineers find new solutions to challenging problems
- Manage time, responsibilities, and priorities effectively with emphasis on contribution
- Share opinions and ideas openly with teammates
- Begin to understand fundamentals of work estimation
- Learn about Acxiom's core business and procedures through Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Work in a teaming environment
- Create code that is well-formed and adheres to Acxiom guidelines (readability)
- Follow code plan provided by more senior staff
- Adhere to professional standards of conduct
- Establish relationships with Acxiom partners and grow those relationships as your career grows
