Basic Compensation
$19.00 - 31.00 per hour (This range is for the Colorado area only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity

Work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
As an Intern, you will support verification, validation, version control, and deployment of research and production code for the office
During the summer you will learn the art of scientific programming, testing, and revision control
You will work with senior members on tasks involving validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing scientific code
This will involve analyzing scientific programs developed by members of the technical staff, commenting on them, making computational improvements where feasible, and checking them in to a repository
You will be encouraged to interact with members of the technical staff that developed the programs in order to understand the algorithms they are analyzing
As a National Security Solutions Intern, You Will
Learn and apply state-of-the-art scientific coding practices
Perform validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing MATLAB and/or C/C++ scientific code
Learn and apply principles of software revision control
Document work and make a final presentation
Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field
