Proficiency in one mainstream programming language, such as GoLang/Go or C++
Familiarity with docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience working with REST APIs
Knowledge of relational or non-relational databases
Understanding of test-driven development and automated testing
Familiarity with CI/CD processes
Proficiency with modern version control systems, such as Git
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
US Citizenship is required, and candidates must be working on US soil
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field related to software development
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
2+ years of experience with a mainstream programming language
Experience with software application development, whether through class projects, personal hobbies, or professional roles

Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay Range for SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City: \(119,200.00 - \)163,900.00 per year
Base Pay Range for California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), DC Metro, and Massachusetts: \(107,280.00 - \)147,510.00 per year
Base Pay Range for all other locations: \(95,360.00 - \)131,120.00 per year
Incentive compensation and potential equity or long-term cash awards available

Develop and deploy software to enhance the availability, performance, and reliability of Splunk’s Clustering service, ensuring FedRAMP compliance
Establish continuous monitoring and auditing processes for systems compliance
Automate service deployment in new provider regions, including FedRAMP environments
Design, develop, code, and test software systems for improvements and new products
Build innovative solutions for rapid development, addressing aspects like performance, security, and accessibility
Contribute to standard methodologies, architecture, and implementation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Compliance, Support, and Education
Interact with customers to identify issues and solutions
Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new interns
Engage in 24x7 on-call rotation
