Qualifications
- Candidates must graduate in or before December 2024 and be available to start in or before January 2025
- Proficiency in one mainstream programming language, such as GoLang/Go or C++
- Familiarity with docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Knowledge of relational or non-relational databases
- Understanding of test-driven development and automated testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes
- Proficiency with modern version control systems, such as Git
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- US Citizenship is required, and candidates must be working on US soil
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field related to software development
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
- 2+ years of experience with a mainstream programming language
- Experience with software application development, whether through class projects, personal hobbies, or professional roles

- Compensation and Benefits
- Base Pay Range for SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City: \(119,200.00 - \)163,900.00 per year
- Base Pay Range for California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), DC Metro, and Massachusetts: \(107,280.00 - \)147,510.00 per year
- Base Pay Range for all other locations: \(95,360.00 - \)131,120.00 per year
- Incentive compensation and potential equity or long-term cash awards available
Responsibilities
- In this position, you will hone your development skills while experiencing the Splunk culture
- You will work on complex problems and collaborate with multi-functional teams, gaining valuable insights into our values-driven process

- Develop and deploy software to enhance the availability, performance, and reliability of Splunk’s Clustering service, ensuring FedRAMP compliance
- Establish continuous monitoring and auditing processes for systems compliance
- Automate service deployment in new provider regions, including FedRAMP environments
- Design, develop, code, and test software systems for improvements and new products
- Build innovative solutions for rapid development, addressing aspects like performance, security, and accessibility
- Contribute to standard methodologies, architecture, and implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Compliance, Support, and Education
- Interact with customers to identify issues and solutions
- Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new interns
- Engage in 24x7 on-call rotation
