Foundational understanding of software languages such as Java or other OOP languages (C++/C#/Python/Ruby)
Familiarity with Java, Rest API, Node.js, SQL, and version control systems like Git/SVN
Interest in side projects that reflect your skills and creativity
Student actively pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum 3.25 Major GPA
Foundational knowledge of software languages
Student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
Bachelor’s degree in progress (Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field)
Experience in software development through academic projects or internships is preferable, but not required

The Intern - Software Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software for existing or new products/applications
The code you create may be utilized in commercial end-user applications and internal tools that enhance efficiencies across diverse industry segments and clients
Utilizing current programming languages and technologies, you will write code, conduct application testing and debugging, and document procedures for installation and maintenance
As an intern, you may engage with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications
This role is designed to help you grow into a forward-thinking leader, capable of articulating complex ideas to solve user and client challenges
Make improvements to Spring.Boot/Java APIs
Develop tools that support Acxiom’s DaaS platform
Assist senior engineers in finding innovative solutions to challenging problems
Manage time, responsibilities, and priorities effectively
Share ideas and opinions openly within the team
Begin learning about work estimation fundamentals
Create well-formed code that adheres to Acxiom guidelines
Follow the code plan provided by senior staff
Maintain professional standards of conduct
