Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics or other related fields
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Must be eligible to be approved by your college/university to participate in a co-op program and register for co-op credit with your university during work terms
  • Must be able to complete at least three full-time co-op terms (alternating three terms of full-time work at GTRI with semesters of full-time school) prior to graduation
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Students will assist Research Engineers in various Software Development related tasks
  • Students should be interested in learning about aircraft sustainment and modernization processes, tools, and datasets, creating updated processes and toolsets, and employing continuous process improvement practices
  • Perform software development, software debugging, software modification/enhancement, and software documentation
  • Develop and maintain kernel and user-level software and scripts
  • Contribute to technical reports and presentations
