Qualifications
- Hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization
- Strong ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts
- High-quality C code delivery in real-time embedded environments
- Proficient Python coding skills for test automation
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree
- Actively pursuing a degree related to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- Experience with C, C++, Python languages
- Experience in embedded software development and optimization
- Strong collaborative mindset and communication skills
- Applied knowledge of engineering’s first principles
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in relevant fields
- Familiarity with software build tools like Bazel, Scons, CMake, etc
- Ability to write testing scripts using scripting languages (Python)
- Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis and design

Responsibilities
- You will immerse yourself in Ford’s center of innovation, gaining hands-on experience and making a real impact on the automotive industry
- As part of the embedded software team, you will be responsible for user-facing critical features and ensuring low-level actuators meet vehicle attributes and performance targets
- Develop firmware for distributed embedded systems with multiple microcontrollers
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues for thermal and HVAC systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for software integration
- Design interfaces between application software and firmware
- Develop controls software and algorithms
- Verify software operation using hardware and debuggers at a bench and HIL level
