Excellent technical writing skills for the preparation and review of inspection reports
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Proficient using AutoCAD or MicroStation
Proficient using Microsoft Office required

As an intern specializing in bridge inspections, you will be a member of a certified team that provides inspection services across the State of Louisiana and the Southeast region
The principal function of this position is to evaluate bridges through above ground engineering inspections

Partners with other professionals and departments to gather information for projects
Performs bridge inspections
Works collaboratively with all members of the inspection group
Conducts inspections and assists in supervision of site investigations as needed
Utilizes field computers to record field observations
Prepares or assists in preparation of reports including data entry, text writing and photo editing
Data entry/manipulation and technical writing for the preparation and review of inspection reports, proposals, etc
Works closely with other engineers, scientists, project managers, etc. on multi-discipline projects
Reviews shop drawings and technical submittals
Performs construction site inspections and prepares inspection reports
Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Field work includes exposure to extreme heat, cold or inclement weather
